How to prevent duplicate content

SEO should be considered one of the tools in your digital marketing strategy because its still alive and well and has the power to substantially increase business growth. Link-building can also come from building a targeted and involved community. The more regular visitors a site has, and the more passionate those fans are, the more likely webpages will be read, shared, and linked to. Therefore, building links via this method will do nothing to boosting your website’s ranking. Competitor analysis is nothing new, and companies have been researching their competitor’s links for years. However, by looking at the competitor’s backlinks and manually reviewing which links are worth having, you can then perform a link outreach and try to get a link from the same referring site. Take an aspect of your niche that people find difficult and create the most comprehensive tutorial there is on the subject. The recent statistics show that there are over 1.2 billion websites hosted on the internet today. And, there are also numerous websites that are competing for specific keywords on popular search engines.

Keyword selection requires its due consideration. You do not want to select a common, albeit popular, keyword featured in various other contents as it dilutes your visibility. Conversely, you do not want to choose a keyword that is so vague that your content becomes almost non-existent for the users. Unfortunately, what’s deemed best for one query might not be the best for another, which makes machine learning very difficult to optimize for. Longer sentences are hard to follow onscreen. When possible, break longer sentences into multiple shorter sentences. Google only show sitelinks for results when they think they’ll be useful to the user. If the structure of your site doesn’t allow Google's algorithms to find good sitelinks, or they don’t think that the sitelinks for your site are relevant for the user’s query, Google won’t show them. When you’re browsing the web, the content you come across can come in a number of different flavors. Often, the nature of the content can tell you a little about the owner of the blog/website too. Either this is a website belonging to someone who is mostly interested in their visitors and who doesn’t care whether they ‘rank’ or not; or it’s content that is clearly aimed at Google, with the visitors as an afterthought.

It takes more than just continuous output to get anywhere with a blog

Website with streamlined URL structures often tends to rank higher than those with a messy structure and confusing organization of content. The authority of the domain is important and it needs to be addressed in any walkthrough of SEO. To gain visibility across search engines (think 'universal' or blended search), as well as relevant blogs, forums, online media and social networks, whilst being compelling enough, where relevant, to be shared by the target audience. A page that’s no longer working can affect your site’s rankings in search engines, but also user experience and the engagement. Prevent duplicate content. Don’t confuse Google with almost similar pages. Those serve no one.
